It's a series on the Sci-Fi channel. If I'm not mistaken it's about a town that no one knows about where the government keeps it's geniuses. Best way I can describe it from what I've seen is a Sci-Fi version of Northern Exposure,if you're familiar with that show.

There's also that other pile of rubbish Hyperdrive. I don't know what the BBC were thinking comissioning that. If they want to give money away I'll give them my bank details. Oh, you beat me to it Rog .

I'm surprised no one mentioned Galaxy Quest. I love that movie!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I realise it's not sci-fi comedy exactly but with about 50 odd references to tv, film, comic and book sci-fi every week it's gotta count surely.

                        I just had a flashback .......

When I first got my original VHS player in the early 80's, I rented a British Sci-Fi comedy movie ......

                        It was really cheapo ......

All I remember about it was ......

It was a ship (that landed on Earth) command by sexy women .......
Their computer was a jukebox that sounded like a stoned Clint Eastwood.
For some reason, the "alien" woman wanted to MATE with human men.

What the hell movie was that ?

                          LOVED THE SHOW ..........

Unfortuetely it's considered not PC to like it, so it got cancelled and almost no-one ever heard of it today.
Please tell me you're being Ironic.

I still like Quark and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace as good sci fi comedies. Although Dark Place is actually a parody of bad sci-fi horror shows.

It's either 2069 or Spaced Out. Depends on whether it was dubbed or british.
