I would say their best bet for finding lost Troughton's is in Canada converted to NTSC.
Perhaps sitting in a basement somewhere.
I think DW was first shown in Canada in 1965.
At least one lost story was found in the USA (The Dæmons -- in colour), but that's already the Pertwee era....
