Were Daleks Nazi's

I didn't think there was a conflict between Genesis and Hartnell's first Dalek Story. I just figured some time after the wars the radiation subsided and the societies rebuilt them selves and seperated. Much like the cultures in H.G. Wells's Time Machine.

Daleks = Ratzi's was a sort of re-invention for them in the Tom Baker era to make them more serious. I recall reading this somewhere.

I'm not really upset that they made those changes, it did add a new dimension to the Daleks. Especially the whole concept of genetic engineering as opposed to being mutated people in shells.

The Nazi metaphor is over used now (look at Starship Troopers!) but I like the whole concept of Skaro being a planet of endless, mindless war.

Yeah loved that they'd virtually gone backwards weapon tech wise due to the long, long war of attrition..
seems it's either nazis....empire in SW, Federation (another Teryy Nation script) in B7, the visitors in V etc
or it's mongal hoards as kilingons in ST, villains in flash Gordon and Buck Rogers etc
