Ya, right! This new episode was fantastic! It was like it never stopped. I was hanging on every word and I am already hooked again! Plus, Skully is STILL hot.
Well, Gillian Anderson is only 47, younger than me...so she will always be hot to me, ha...
Finished watching last night's Season 10 opener and I can already tell I'm going to miss Scully and Mulder all over again after their six episode stint. Sure, everyone's a little older, a little grayer, or, in Scully's case, a little hotter, but then so are we all. Just seeing the original opening credits roll gave me a little shiver of delight and watching Scully and Mulder get back into their old routine was great.
I agree with Hector that whomever the critics were that watched the season opener and said it was a stinker were probably smoking something weird, never liked the show in the first place or were in utero or in diapers when then show started way back in '93 (man, I was only 29 back in the day). Hopefully, we'll get another couple of mini-seasons out of Scully and Mulder before they retire for good.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
Wow. Glad to hear that there is still a viable X-Files base out there. I like that this IS a revival and NOT a reboot (either soft or hard). Plus, this gives those of us who are more seasoned fans of the show a chance to share it with a younger audience and perhaps recruit new X-Philes.
Just finished "Founder's Mutation." Great throwback episode to some of the more science-based, stand alone episodes of the original series. Also felt like it was a little nod from The X-Files in perhaps acknowledging the ever-growing abundance of meta-humans on both the big and little screen.
By the way, don't know if anyone caught this on the previews for next week's episode, but there was a very familiar looking character in a couple of quick scenes wearing a white blazer (for lack of a better term) and a ratty looking hat. From the glances, he looked a lot like...
...which is ultra-cool since I remember Chris Carter saying at one time that he wanted Kolchak to be Mulder's dad,

Reading that article made me think of one thing . . . Firefly!
Man, that would be super-sweet, but I have a feeling FOX would likely not be willing to pay out the salaries needed to bring back some of the key players in FIREFLY, not to mention they would have to worm their way back into Joss Whedon's good graces which is not, from what I've heard, an easy thing to do. 'Course, he DID take DOLLHOUSE to FOX, so one never knows...

The new episode was hysterical, almost like a B movie, man in rubber suit. The banter between Scully and Mulder was fun, its almost like the roles have reversed, Mulder being the sceptic now. Yeah I noticed the Kolchak connection
