New Sonic Screwdriver

I didn't like the sunglasses at first but this whole "Old Rocker Doctor" thing has grown on me.
I don't think I've ever been more invested in a Doctors look than 12D, I need more hobbies...

If The Doctor has a "true" Sonic Screwdriver back, what will his sunglasses do?

Since they introduced them, I've been hoping they just become an accessory for the screwdriver, like a bluetooth device, that could display all the info the sonic delvers when he uses it like a tricorder (which I've never gotten but learned to live with).

I like the new design: not sure why they added all the blinky lights, probably just for visual effect.
The trowel looks pretty lame, what would be the function of that shape? Gardening?

Love the new sonic!! Looks retro, yet still modern and I think it fits Twelve's personality to a t. Can't wait to add one to my collection! I do hope that The Doctor keeps his guitar, too.

In the BBC preview/trailer of the holiday episode, the Doctor makes reference to River's sonic looking like a trowel.

I wouldn't be surprised if it can't handle boiling water. Collectibles aren't always that well made.

It will be interesting to see if this is the version of The Doctor she told Ten about in "Forest of the Dead."

I'm thinking that's what is going to happen here.
