That would be my only gripe that whatever comes out now would conflict with the stories and images I have had in my mind for a few decades. I think they should do a Han movie, thoguh. Show how he won the Falcon from Lando.

I would like to see another Obi Wan film, too.

ALRIGHT! We got another guy onboard!

Han Solo is the perfect character for new adventures. Let's see him make the Kessel run. How he worked for Jabba. How he met Chewie.

We've been starved of SW movies for so long, and now we can finally see more of that whole universe.

EXACTLY! Why shouldn't they make more Star Wars movies? Disney paid a lot of money for the wrights...of course they going to use them. And I for one would rather see younger versions of the Characters I LOVE, filling in the gaps of their lives between Episode 3 and 4...then all new characters.

I'm all for a Han Solo movie but I would prefer they NOT kill the character in the latest Star Wars release if that's their goal. Kind of puts a damper on things.

I don't object to the idea of a Han Solo movie. I agree that there is potential for it to be a good and entertaining film. My concern is that Disney seems determined to release one or two Star Wars movies a year. My concern is oversaturation. I would be happy to be proven wrong and we get one great Star Wars movie after another.

I don't know all the ins and outs of what Disney has planned for the franchise, but is what you're saying is that we could have "Episode VII", and while we're waiting for its sequel, we could have a (potential) Han Solo film, a Yoda film, then "Episode VIII", etc.?

I would imagine you'd be able to pick it up pretty easily on eBay or check at used book stores...

I dont mind there being films, but it all depends how kid friendly they make them, I think we all personally want a bit of grit in there. Also these days, the actors all seem to be too pretty.and just takes away from the realism of things. So as long as it doent turn into a Disney club thing, Im ok.

I think they could make several movies for different age groups. Like those Ewoks movies they made in the 80s. There's plenty of material available so everyone gets something they want to see.
Remember, you don't have to see all of them. Pick what you like. I'd rather have a lot to choose from, than just one movie I may or may not like. I hated those Ewoks movies, so I just skipped them. Problem solved.

I would like to see a Friends type tv show with Boba, Dengar and all the bounty hunters, sharing an apartment, hunting down and killing people. You know, a sitcom...
                    .
                    .
                    .
"When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party."

I think the new Han Solo movies will be spectacular.

I'm really looking forward to them. I have wanted to see more Star Wars films for a long time. It will be a long three year wait as it is. There will be many new Star Wars projects announced during that time.

Obi-wan could still show up in a Han Solo movie, just don't have the two characters meet.

Maybe later they will make Young Han Adventures for TV, like Young Indy! hahaha!

I'm prepared to watch every Star Wars movie made and to be made.

I am happy new Star Wars material is being created, hopefully the Earth won't be destroyed in the meantime, so I get to enjoy all these new Star Wars movies.

By the way, Rogue One is supposed to be pretty hard core battle action, I think, and not just for young children. They will have different target audiences.

I hope they make a Han Solo TV sitcom.

Han and Chewy driving around the Falcon doing good (a remake of Route 66)

People keep talking about Marvel Superhero movies may eventually reaching the oversaturation point...but I've seen no signs of it yet. Avengers: AOU went over the BILLION dollar mark!

I would love to a see a film series or movie based off the solo trilogy written by A.C. Crispin.
The paradise snare, the hutt gambit and rebel dawn.
The books follow solo from age 10 up to him sitting down with Luke and obi at the cantina.

^ I didn't even know there was a series like that. I will have to look for it.

As for Star's End, I own that, I was wondering if it was still in print that anyone not around in the 70's would be familiar with those stories.

As for over-saturation, of all movie houses I would trust Disney in the types of stories they put out. They like to protect their brands.
                              It's all good!

I'm familiar with stars end as well.they did combine the early solo stories into a larger volume(omnibus) the Han Solo adventures in the early nineties that you can still find in book stores today.
I would think if fans are solo fans they would find it today easily.
Crispin incorporated parts of stars end into her final volume rebel dawn.Im sure you would enjoy the trilogy.
