Han Solo movie announced for 2018 release.

Pre-rebellion Han Solo story written by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Ben Kenobi was a freedom fighter he sliced the arm of Ponda Baba.
Princess Leia with the Force to guide her, she wore a slave suit for evil Jabba.

Lando Cal was the first Millennium owner ain't you glad he showed up. (Oh yeah)
And when the Deathstar was being built Luke Skywalker made it all blowed up.

      -----------And then there's Han.

Up next: Logray The Ewok 'The Backstory of a Medicine Man'.

Star Wars just needs to be left alone now and remembered for what it is and not destroyed for what it's not.

Good grief you guys...they announce a title, nothing more and suddenly they're "destroying" Star Wars?

No more backstories, please. Some stuff is better left to the imagination. No doubt we will meet Han's former wife from the now-canon Marvel series.

Heck with you guys...this is the prequel I WANT TO SEE! Han is much older than Luke(a seasoned smuggler)and has had plenty of adventures before "A New Hope"...and I would love to see them! But the key to making this work(besides a great script)is CASTING! You have to find someone who has Han's swagger. His cockiness that's similar to Jim Kirk, but more bada$$. And I've got just the guy with those qualities.

Ian Somerhalder! He even looks like a Young Han Solo.

For me one of the things that made the Star Wars films series special was that there were only three movies in the series for a long time. The characters and concepts didn't suffer from over exposure.

I've wanted a Han Solo movie after reading Han Solo at Stars End as a kid. I think a Han Solo movie works better than a stand alone Yoda or Obi Wan one. Throw in Boba Fett as the main villain and they are good to go.

That's the Sprit...there you go!! Me too Brother! Way I see it, Disney paid a LOT of MONEY for the wrights to Star Wars...of course they are going to use the characters...which I'm fine with, just as long as they use them properly.

He does look like him. It takes allot more than that though. The story is everything!

Why wouldn't they make more SW movies?
Han Solo is the perfect character for new adventures. Let's see him make the Kessel run. How he worked for Jabba. How he met Chewie.

We've been starved of SW movies for so long, and now we can finally see more of that whole universe.
                            .
                            .
                            .
"When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party."

I love the Han Solo....er solo stories. Is Star'sEnd in print anymore?

That would be my only gripe that whatever comes out now would conflict with the stories and images I have had in my mind for a few decades. I think they should do a Han movie, thoguh. Show how he won the Falcon from Lando.

I would like to see another Obi Wan film, too.
                              It's all good!
