I liked it. I thought it was good but not great. The surprises didn't surprise me and the story has many holes. It was nice to see a Science Fiction movie that didn't involve monsters and battles. There's certainly nothing wrong with that but a change of pace is good once in awhile. I can't get too excited about the special effects in movies anymore. For a major Hollywood movie, of any genre, not to have good special effects is inexcusable these days with all the technology available now.

I finally got to se this last night and I liked it. It's live a version of 2001 that didn't put me to sleep! I loved the music in it to. I didn't have any sound issues except for the couple sitting next to me who TALKED THROUGH THE ENITE MOVIE! That haunted house type organ during the climax scenes was perfect and at least Nolan didn't go for his BWAMP. horn from Inception. The robot was amazing! The book shelf scene towards the end was a little off but they made it work. Usually a three hour movie would put me to sleep right in the middle but this one kept me on my seat for the whole film. For a space film, it wasn't as good as Gravity and I don't think I would ever sit through it again but I sure did enjoy the ride from start to finish.

Rented this last nite and enjoyed it quite a bit. Sure, it's convoluted. Sure, Miss Hathaway and Jessica Chastain fell kinda flat for me. But it held my interest and I really appreciated all the time/space sci-fi elements. And those robots blew me away.. thumbs up just for those!

The robots seem like crap (at first sight), and then they make total sense.
Interstellar won just about nothing at the Oscars because of Gravity winning the year before. It should have been the other way around.
I guess Hollywood only has praise enough for one astronaut movie...
