Strictly hypothetical speaking here. I have no access to any more spoilers than anyone and I usually try and avoid them. But there's been months of fanboy discussion about this and, as the premiere is nearly upon us, I thought I'd see what you all thought.
Personally I hope not. Much like the good Doc saying he was half human on this mother's side in the TV movie, I hope the Valeyard is best remembered as a forgotten part of Who. I honestly can't imagine there are many people with much love for the character which, to me at least, never really made any sense. Bury him in the past I say.
It certainly won't stop me from watching if Capaldi is in some way associated with the Valeyard because The Moff might actually be able to make the character matter. And that would be something to see. Personally I hope they let Capaldi make his own mark in his own way.
