Does anyone care about Rocket Robin Hood?

So recently, I feel like the only three Rocket Robin Hood fans in existence happened to have a convergence at a local toy show.

So here, we have yet another super obscure Canadian Superhero, and I'm just wondering if he had much in the way of exposure to those outside of Toronto/Canada (where he was a non stop staple for about a quarter century).

As somebody who grew up in the New York Metro area in the 70's I had no idea who the character was until I came to the Museum.

There's just no nostalgia factor for me

I barely heard of it before coming here, and had no idea of it's connection to the 60s Spider-Man toon until I read about it here.

I watched it on the Philly channel as a kid, and thought it was great. Nifty theme song. Been many years since I watched an episode though.
Was there any merchandise produced for it? Don't remember any.

                    AHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!

SOMEbody cares, 'cos they did a digital transfer a few years back. It's one of them sobering shows 'cos it makes you realize that EVERY show is SOMEBODY'S favourite.

Right now, somebody continues their letter writing campaign urging Paramount to finally make that big-budget, live-action "Trollkins" movie.

I can't say I hate.... or even dislike Rocket Robin, but it's not a very good show. I have a friend who worked with some of the folks who worked on RR, and he said the dominant attitude was that working on the show was the thing delaying drinkin' time. Knowing that cleared a lot up for me. Like why there's only 5 minutes or so of actual footage an episode, or why such simple designs go off-model so frequently, (sometimes during the same scene) or why the story is so.... er.... let's go with "threadbare."

Part of me is surprised there HASN'T been some kind of revival or reboot. It's a known name, even if you don't remember where you know it from. It's got fighting, spaceships, swords, and plenty of leeway for the writers.

ANyhoo; "Mighty Hercules" was a much better show. Surprised nobody's remade that one too. (And still trying not to obsess about getting one of them rings....)

I grew up in the Niagara Falls, Ontario area and I never saw the show. I was aware of it's existence, I saw the listings in the local TV Guide and was always intrigued, but it seemed to only play on City TV locally, and the over the air signal for that station was non-existent in our area (we didn't have cable TV when I was a kid, so that wasn't an option). The only OTA stations we received were out of Buffalo, or CHCH in Hamilton and CBC, TVO and CTV in Toronto, and none of them aired the show. So unfortunately there is zero nostalgia for the show for this Canadian.

                            That's were it aired here.

I remember one ep that used the same animation and plot as the Spiderman toon. It was a red boney alien in a toga from Dementia 5.

Growing up in Ontario, I regularly watched Rocket Robin Hood reruns in the 70s.
Still have a great fondness for the show.
