^And you know it's going to happen since they've been hinting at that since Season 6.

The classic series was more fun because it centered on new stories.

Dr Who might have given 1 hint about his background per season.

Today it seems to be the secondary story in every episode.

And enough already with the companions and their backstories

I want to return to a time the focus was on the story of the week.

Never thought i'd say this but I miss JNT

At least he passed the series off to others when he got bored with making every discission (McCoy era)

I certainly don't miss JNT... he instituted too many ill conceived changes which screwed the show in so many ways.

I miss the Phillip Hinchcliffe and Graham Williams eras. Those were my favourite DW years.

I hope they won't center most of the storyline on the assistant. I've had my share of Amy, that was enough.
When, in the Christmas special, they started about "pond" again, I couldn't help but groan.

            I thought the same thing

Do they say pond instead of pool in England ?

Over here in the UK a pond is more likely to be a garden piece or naturally occurring water feature, while a pool is a man-made structure for swimming in.
