Right there with you. It's one of the things I hate with some of the Godzilla movies.
I don't care about that crap, give me big stuff fighting and trashing things.

This quote from the one review gives me hope that it will be just what I want though.
"This particular film wasn’t meant to be anything more than giant robots fighting giant monsters. In that sense, it succeeded big time, and it had a lotta heart to go with it."

      >it had a lotta heart to go with it

THAT'S the part that scares me. What do they mean by "heart?" That's one of them PR buzzwords for "tacked on romance and bit where the slacker hero comes of age."

A couple of cool new images.
Kaiju remains in the middle of a devastated city, and a kaiju footprint on the beach.

This is going to be amazing-ridiculous.

Amazing because it's Del Toro's designs.

Ridiculous, because it's the most expensive Ultraman bump-off, ever.

Oh man; I hope so! I'm SSSSOOOOO hoping that all these scenes aren't the only good bits, and the movie doesn't end up being 2 hours of "You're a hazard, Maverick! But I love you!"

More of the Asylum garbage monster defecating all over place again. They never stop. I mean it goes straight to Redbox and Netflix and the reviews are always brutal.

Someone's got to ride the coat tails of the big boys and make some cash along the way.

Does anyone else see this as being out of scale? The people seem too big to fit the vehicles that are parked across that tiny river.

You could be right about scale, but look at the tree line. They're flattened, so I'm not sure exactly what's going on.

From all accounts, the trailers haven't shown jack. Eight Kaiju land on earth, each in a different climate/region. One fight, IIRC, is in a volcano? I know one is around the artic.

                                This banner is pretty cool.

Acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) brings out the big guns in this sci-fi action epic about a ragtag band of humans that b
