Ron Perlman IS Vincent (the Beast), and Linda Hamilton IS Catherine (the Beauty). No one else can EVER take their place no matter what CW says.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Ahhhhhh-----Vincent and Catherine as they're MEANT to be! Thanks for the images, samurai!!!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
I have those 2 comics by Wendy Pini, and I recorded B&TB from the Sci-Fi Channel when they aired it, including the Valentine's Day marathon hosted by Ron Perlman.

I sat through the Smallville for 7 of the 10 years it was on. I skipped some seasons because the writing had gotten too bad. I could not stand Kristin Kreuk in Smallville too. I came back for season 10. I have no interest in seeing a Beauty and the Beast given the same treatment. Worse yet they may give it the Twilight treatment.
>I read an article in the most recent issue of TV Guide that those of the female persuasion were just raving over what a hottie the guy who plays "The Beast" is...
....y'know.... we're all kinda assuming HE'S the Beast. On further perusal, her eyes are kinda weird and she has a LOT of forhead....
I'm gonna give this show a chance... like the new BSG, I think they're taking the basic concept and running a different direction with it. It's probably going to have a lot of homage to the original. We just recently watched the 87-89 version (on Netflix, but YouTube has every single episode as well), which only went 2.5 seasons, and it's really only about 1/2 good, so perhaps there's room to improve upon the basic concept.
I wonder how or if George R.R. Martin will be involved.
