Loved the show, it was the dark underside of the Trek U.

TOS is still my fave, but DS9 runs a close 2nd. The darkness is a great change-of-tone from the other Trek shows, and Avery Brooks rules. Got to see him at SDCC last summer on a panel with The Shat.

That episode made Sisko a real deep guy and not just a cardboard plastic Captain (like Picard)

I forgot the title but it was a great episode
I Love that episode for sure. It's definately a great one.

Another great episode Mike, the Romulan episode was called "In the Pale Moonlight" i thought that was one of the best episodes of that season.

DS9 is also a favourite of mine, although the 1st and 2nd seasons wern't that dark as the later seasons.I thought the introduction of the Breen was cool, they had great costumes and talked funny.

There was one episode i'd love to see again .... I only seen it one time when it was new ... Everytime they replay the series on TV I always miss it.

The crew go to a village on a planet... At the end we find out the whole village (including the people) are all fake ... It's like a big holodeck ... The people don't know they're not real.

Sounds like the episode "Shadowplay" Mike, where the leader of the village re-creates the whole village as holograms and if they go past a certain point they disappear but i am sure they fix the hologram thingy in the end and they all stay.

My memory is abit sketchy these days.

                  Hmmmm....

I liked the season that was pretty much just O'Brien and Bashir hanging out. You never see the "background details" or ordinary people stuff on any sci-fi show. Like when you find out Bashir is a supertrooper, and they use his abilities to shake down folks at the dart board. Oddly enough, I was kinda lukewarm on the Dominion war stuff; mostly 'cos I'd seen those stories so many times over the years. It's really hard to come up with a new take on the space war thing.

The Dominion War was kind of a "Big Jaws" story

I probably need to give this show another try. I didn't like it at all at first. I thought it was like a procedural drama on a space station. Like Star Dragnet or something. I did watch some episodes in later seasons that I liked.

I guess I was a bit too young to appreciate the new, darker take on the Trek universe.

I remember giving it a try through S1.
It was ok. Kind of fun, but nothing to write home about.
Hoped it would get better in S2.
I remember bailing early in S2 when it looked like more of the same.
Think they changed the night, or the time, and in conflicted with something else I wanted to watch, so it I gave up on DS9.

Sometime during S3 I happened to watch an ep, and was pleased to see it had gotten better. So I started watching again.

Easily the most enjoyable of all the Trek series when watching now.
(sorry, but most TOS just bores me anymore from having seen it way too many times over the years)

I'm watching the Trials of Tibbilations episode now. It's a minor stroke of genius to alter the frame rate and color separation to match 60's television while they are onboard the Enterprise. I can't believe I'd forgotten how much I liked this show.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

                              Tribble-ations was a great episode.

It's weird thinking they actually scratch built a new classic 1701 model just for that episode... (it was not CGI)
