A generally pleasing, harmless show, but they should have made the movie sequel first ('Logans World'), and based off having TWO successful movies out, then go to network series.., but I think network execs got greedy and lost out.

They would have had a lot more name/franchise recognition if they did that, plus more background fodder for the television series to explore.

All in all, watched it devotedly and enjoyed Logan, Francis and REM best.
    Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.

I have the book Logan's Run Trillogy and I think one of the authors went into a little detail on how the studio may have wanted a TV series rather than a sequel. I think William F. Nolan was more involved in watching over the concept but he wasn't thrilled with a TV series. He wanted to do more films.

It wasn't greed but more need from what I've heard, MGM was kind of cash strapped and the parceling off the Logan brand to TV provided a quick buck.

Actually he helped develop the initial series, even created REM (originally called OMO) but when Geoff and Roberts became producers he ran.

Those two largely hold the bag when it comes to why the series floundered. Nolan had some really good ideas how to advance the plot line, like Francis eventually joining the run but it was all for naught.

I keep forgetting it was a tv show. I don't think I've ever seen it, but I love the movie so I'm sure I'd enjoy this too.

Saw this set on sale last weekend at a sci-fi event, from a region 1 importer... but at a crazy price. Will get it cheaper online imminently.

Loved this series. The car was amazing.

Probably by the time that we will actually be living in Logan's era...
