I know what you mean, my son won't hardly watch anything older except Andy Griffith LOL. I loved it that Sean Connery was the King in Time Bandits.

            One of my favorite movies!

A sequel or remake has been rumored for a while. There's a project listed as "In Development" called Time Bandits scheduled for 2015 release on IMDb: Time Bandits (2015) - IMDb

Of course TONS of projects listed as "In Development" on IMDb never come true - but this is one of those minor things that irks me from time to time.

I used to have the comic adaption and liked the movie quite a bit back in the day, but haven't seen it in 30 years.

You should see it again. Like classic Warner Brothers cartoons I think you see different things in it if you're a kid or an adult.

Now when you see it you'll notice how much of the movie is seen through kid's eyes. When I was younger and I saw the scene where God shows up at the end I didn't get that he was suppose to be like a school principal, for example.

I don't even remember that part, Brazoo--I'll definitely take another look at it, on your recommendation. The DVD's only $8.70 at Amazon right now, too!

Cool - I think you'll get a kick out of it - especially if you like other Gilliam movies!

Let me know what you think!

No questioning that. The movie was made for both child/adult.

The only question is will someone who enjoyed the movie
as a child, enjoy TIME BANDITS an an adult.

I know it' s one of my favorite movies of all-time... as an adult...
so it's got my vote going for it in that regard.

I always liked the George Harrison song at the end.

                          Can't remember it now though

It's "IT'S ONLY A DREAM AWAY" which also appears on
                            his album "GONE TROPPO"....

If I too wasn't a HUGE fan of the song Mike,
I probably wouldn'ta been so quick and excited to post a link!
