Or Heaven forbid, a man!
I really liked the chemistry between Tennant and Bernard Cribbins, for example. Do we have to focus the whole line-up at one age group every time?
If it has to be her, why not make her gay?
Break down those barriers. If we can handle killers robots and two-headed aliens, we can surely handle a gay character, right?
Or perhaps the Doctor can travel in time and pick up a previous companion, like Jamie, but much later down his timeline...

The new girl is cute.
And she certainly won't be the worst companion ever to travel with the Doctor... not by a long shot!
I look forward to her introduction.Leave a comment:

I draw your attention to the recent Episode 2 of Dirk Gently, where Lydia Wilson totally steals the show...

... by positively exuding innocence and wonderment.
She'd be perfect as a Who companion (if she didn't have a history of getting her norks out).
Meanwhile this new girl, with her overinflated face, would make a great Sontaran.

Okay maybe I'm being a little harsh.

This girl is Beautiful! I look forward to seeing her. she does look like Tiffani. Maybe she will be from some other planet or the future, we can hope.Leave a comment:

I had mentioned on another message board that it would be interesting if the Doctor got a teen companion again (like Susan, Vicki, Dodo, Adric, Nyssa, Ace, etc...), I suggested that Luke Smith from the Sarah Jane Adventures might be interesting...But I'd also like to see a companion from another era too...Maybe another Victorian era character (perhaps a royal?) or a person from WWII might be cool, maybe a nurse or battlefield medic?
Alien's are difficult, though...There's the hours of make up the actor has to endure for every episode and they'd have to have a way to disguise themselves on present day (or near future) Earth or in Earth's past or else get into big trouble (which might make some trips very fun).

Enough with the eye candy. I would like to see a alien or someone from another timeline..Leave a comment:

She's gorgeous! I think Karen Gillan is a bit hotter, (the red hair, the Scottish accent), but this companion is cool too. She does seem shorter than Peri tho.
You're thinking of Tiffany Amber Thiessen? Right side: Jenna - Louise Coleman

Agreed, it's time for an alien companion or one from another time era.
The new girl is cute enough for my taste but I just hope that she DOESN'T have a love crush on the Doctor like almost EVERY other female companion the new Doctors have had. 26 years of the classic show and not one companion fell in love with the Doctor - now it seems every girl he looks at goes gaga for him.

Isn't that the same girl from Saved by The Bell? Guess he time travelled to pick her up.

She is no Billie Pipper, she is not even close to thenew currant companion. Sad that they have not gone with an alien or another girl to play the companion.Leave a comment:

She's in the new BBC Miniseries Titanic, which I'll be watching since it's by the guy who did Downton Abbey (is it a spinoff? Two pivotal unseen characters were reported killed on the Titanic in the first episode of downtown abbey)
