As an aside it's on Netflix streaming. So if you already have that, no need to buy it any price. That said can't recommend it as a actual purchase. Not even worth the shelf space it would take up.
I finished watching the whole thing .I never realized how much it copied Project UFO tv series NBC 1977-79 ? anyways The Return of the Starbuck was worth $ 8 bucks alone
just started watching it. i didnt even realize till now that cousin oliver from the brady bunch played dr. zee and mike brady is in it as well! brady bunch reunion. lol!!
Larson's original premise for the series was that it would involve time travel in every episode, with the Colonials chasing Xavier through a different era of Earth's history each episode.
But instead, we got those "super scouts" almost every damn week.

...but since it's 30 years old you have to correct for camp.
I was mostly being sarcastic. I rewatched this series on netflix a while back and Jason from BBP called me in the middle of that Halloween episode.
Me- "Hey I'm watching the Halloween episode, it's not that bad"
Him="What? Have you gottent to the part about the meatballs and the microwave?"
Me-"uhhh, no"
And when we hung up the episode just got....weird.
Still, I'd pay $8 for it all day, I watched every episode of 1980 as a kid, so it gets that nostalgia pass like the second season of Buck Rogers does.

That premise got morphed into Quantam Leap.

Yes, for $8, especially if you have more than a passing interest in the "Classic" Battlestar Galactica. Ironic, though, that most classic fans and cast do not consider Galatica 1980 as part of the BG series except for the "Return of Starbuck Episode."
Galactica 1980 was a rushed into production job by ABC once they realized their mistake in canceling the original series, which was not, by the way, cancelled because of poor ratings but rather cost production (excess of $1 million per episode). The original premise of Galactica was to have been a series of tele-movies, but due to the success of the original three-part pilot, ABC rushed BG into series mode. The same thing happened with Galactica 1980, which was to have been a series of tele-movies. Further, ABC "gutted" Galactica 1980 by placing it at its time slot, considered a "Family" hour, thus to satisfy network regulations, it had to have x-number of family type content, so you got the Boy Scouts, etc. storylines. Richard Hatch (Apollo in the original series) was approached to do Galactica 1980, but he turned it down, as did several others of the original cast. My understanding is that Baltar was replaced in the script by Xavier. You can read most of this on Wikipedia.
