I'd say 98 percent of the movie was just freakin perfect. That's a ratio I'll take anytime.

I know this may maybe a little off topic, but maybe the cancelled series 2 of action figures will come out?

The Playmates Trek movie toys were received poorly, and that's why wave 2 was cancelled. Playmates contract to produce Star Trek movie toys was not renewed as of 2010, so the chance of seeing wave 2 of the first movie at this point is non-existent.

I suppose Playmates could get the license again for the new flick, but considering the dismal failure of the first line, what inclination would Playmates and CBS have to go down that road again?

I blame Playmates for that failure. Odd choices of characters--Cadet McCoy?--and iffy likenesses kind of kept some of us old-school types away. Still, they got more of my money than they deserved. I just wish they would've released the 1/6 Scotty and Uhura before dropping the line.

I would love to see Sideshow get this license for the 1/6 scale figures. I know we've talked about it on here before, but if Joy and Tom worked on them, they would be nearly perfect. Their sculptor has chops.

I wish they'd bring the Klingons back.
