Are you refering to Grace dying in the Tv movie itself?
Ace was killed in the DWM Comic strip, real good story ....bad ending....I LOVE ACE!
Adric on the show in 81?, then go way back to 65/66 for Katarina and Sara Kingdom in the same story no less."Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of DoomComment

The wood people were cool... a worthy eco-message contained within the episode.
Generally superior to all the previous Yuletide episodes in many respects... but that's not saying much in itself.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

Strange there was no trailer for the forth coming season....Comment

I finally sat down and watched it. I was underwhelmed. It was like chewing gum, you enjoy it when it's fresh but as soon as it loses the flavor you spit it out, and you'll never think of it again. I'm just glad I didn't waste my time on Christmas watching it with commercials.
Once again Moffat shows why writers need an editor and shouldn't produce their own work. He introduces a plot thread with the guy who was obviously wounded badly in th eback and the co-pilot - but doesn't resolve it. Bill Bailey was good
Matt Smith soldiered through but he deserves much better material to work with
On a happier note the Special Edition Disc for the Day of the Daleks DVD was actually brilliant first Sp ed I've likedComment

I agree...The special was a bit too fantasy fluff and had a few plot holes here and there.
As for companion deaths...Didn't Rory die (via Silurian gun) and then he was wiped from existence by the crack in time (later somehow returning as an Auton)?
Is there really no new specials/episodes till this fall? Ugh.

>Didn't Rory die
A lot, actually.
>As for the episode itself, my complaints are the same as usual ...
It's just too "fantasy" for me like most Matt Smith episodes.
As for your point itself, my retort is the same as usual ...
Show about a guy travelling time and space in a phone booth that's bigger on the inside than the outside.
*HEY!* No laughing smiley face doohickey!
The Christmas one's aren't usually just more fantasy, they're usually pretty silly.... but that's why I like them. It's neat to see a guy whom we've watched fight aliens, monsters, all sorts of beat-'em up kinda stuff do something off the wall. (And it was funny watching the Doctor getting scolded at the end.) Yeah; it was pretty light, but I liked it. (I liked last years' more though.)
