Just finished watching it on the dvr and I liked it!

It wasn't bad. At least we finally got a Christmas episode that wasn't a total downer.

Question ... was this the same planet were Davison died ?

If so, it's kind a weird the Doctor didn't make no references to that.

That's cause he died on Androzani Minor, this planet was mentioned as being Androzani Major.

To be honest, the Christmas specials are never my favourite things other than I get new Doctor Who at Christmas. It was a fun romp with a much needed happy ending (No death was nice for a change) and the Doctor going for Christmas dinner made it for me.

Well i thought it was awful. The tree people were good , i liked them but the rest of it.

I liked it! Now the next episode is in the fall of 2012....so that sucks!

As for the episode itself, my complaints are the same as usual ...

It's just too "fantasy" for me like most Matt Smith episodes.

IMO, the best Christmas episode was The Christmas Invasion

I thought the episode was ok,the tree people were cool and it was a nice touch,that the Dr went to have Christmas dinner with Amy and Rory.

I kind of liked this one. It's of course the Christmas special, so we get a happy ending...
It did kind of make me feel like it was the Who/Potter cross-over. Little boy, big round glasses, magical things happening...
I liked the idea of the forest escaping its doom and moving on into the Universe.

I enjoyed the ending with Amy and Rory. It does make what's in store for the companions ever more "tragic", of course.
