Unfortunately neither have been released on DVD
I got the Ron Ely Tarzan on Ebay, the quality varies but it all there is. The Filmation cartoon I downloaded from a torrent and was missing ep 10 - I finally got a copy of that from YouTube thanks to a fellow forum member.

Yeah, I've been watching the POTA TV series often, loves it.

        I hating that was short-lived!!

And I've seen Star Wars that showing up too often than POTA and TOS Star Trek TV series that never showing up for a very long time!

I wish the POTA showing up every weekends........

The POTA tv series only lasted one season due to the high cost and poor rateings which was mainly cause by it airing on friday night agianst a powerhouse show on ABC airing at the same time a show many may remember called the Six Million Dollar Man, yes the SMDM aired on fridays before moving to Sunday night

I don't remember the details. All I know was I kept scanning the TV Guide trying to find my apes...and getting devastated with every passing week..."cancellation" was not a concept I could comprehend or imagine.

As the story goes, the kids all loved it, but they weren't the ones buying appliances at Sears..

I am almost done with the series. I can't believe how dead on you are with that comment. Really, every episode is just great to watch. I sincerely don't understand how this didn't get renewed. No matter the reasons they gave.....I just don't get it.

While I don't dispute the sheer awesomeness of the SMDM, I believe NBC's programming played more of a factor in POTA's low ratings in the Friday night 8PM-9PM slot: "Sanford & Son" (#2 in the ratings) and "Chico and the Man" (#3) were a ratings juggernaut at the time.
