RIP Charles Napier

With Steve Jobs passing away yesterday, another celebrity passing was somewhat obscured, veteran actor Charles Napier.

That's exactly what happened to Farrah Fawcett...she died the day Michael Jackson died...and her passing was almost absent from the news that day.

He was a great character actor.. The weirdest memory I have of him is this obscure late 60s skin flick I saw him in, chasing this Native American buxom, near-nekkid actress in the desert somewhere.. I saw it dubbed in German when I lived in Germany back in the early 90s.

Just a cheapie exploitative film, but the chick was hot.

A great actor who worked for his living
he was one of the army Col's chasing the A team (along with the equally Great Lance Legault), a regualt guest villian and cop/sherrif in shows all through the 70's. And as the head of the Good Ole Boys I will always recall his line about corn on the cobb

he embraced the characature status of his wonderful (Austin powers, and his sherrif on squidbillies, Zed on Men i back cartoon are prime examples)

I remember him in a great many things but can't place him on the A-Team. I recall Lance Legault following up William Lucking as the colonels puruing them.
