      Godfather III

How could 1 and 2 be sooooo good, and 3 stinks ?

Oh wait, that's the same with Superman as well

I'm of the belief that sequels are just bonuses toi be had with the originals... so if you don't like 'em... pretend they don't exist... and yer golden.

However, I guess it's in many, many people's nature to complain about something they could ignore anyways.... as odd as that may be.

Saying, that Underdog, YOUR post is probably the most stinging of all in this
        thread... NO ROTN????... awww....

WEEEEEE ARE THE CHAMPIONS MY FREINNNNDS.....

Unless you cobble together a GOOD version of SII from scattered footage,
then SII is just as bad as SIII or worse!

          Just had to remind ya.

POTC 4 is the only one in the series I'd remotely consider watching again.

            I also think Terminator 1, 2 & 3 are all equally good.

Terminator 4 is too non-Terminator like and overall dry for my taste.

                My List...
Anything with Chucky in the title.
How many Friday the 13th movies have there been? I am not sure that should have ever gone past the first.
                Freddy Krueger was great... once!
Star Wars had the Empire Strikes Back justified, but should have stopped there.
Terminator lost my interest after the first one.
Aliens: once you have seen the first you have seen the rest.
Weekend at Bernies. How many times can he die.
Dirty Dancing the redo is not out yet, but some films are best left alone.
Dirty Dancing already had a sequel. It's called Dirty Dancing:Havana Nights

Oh yeah. One more I thought of. War Games. Why did that need a sequel?

Seriously! Why, oh why does Hollywood feel the need to drag out a good story for nothing more than profit? Oh wait, that is pretty much the main reason they drag out good story plots...

And this entry will likely get me banned from the boards, but Lord of the Rings was too much. I have never managed to stay awake all the way through the first one yet; there is no way I could endure the second one.

                        Alright, let the bashing begin.

I tried to watch them ...

I just can't get into that kind of movie

The only middle earth style movie I can tolerate is Beastmaster

Ok you asked for it, you are both banned.

The LOTR trilogy is three of the greatest films you are ever likely to see.

What kind of board do you think this is? It’s Mego toy board, not some sword & sorcery fantasy fan board. That said, I agree with you. I saw all 3 films in the theater with a relative who was really into it so I went along. Fun while it unfolded for the most part, but forgot the story & specifics seconds after leaving the theater. I personally cannot stand sword & sorcery stuff in any way. And really cannot stand the stereotype that a person who likes one geek thing likes all geek things.

Which is to say, you are fine!

Okay, it is nice to know I am not the only one who could not get into LOTR. The shame of it is, I loved the books as a kid. As for sword & sorcery movies I did enjoy Beastmaster. I even liked the first Conan... and we are back to sequels that should never have been made:

Conan the Barbarian was so bad it was kind of good, but a sequel was uncalled for, and a remake was out of line altogether.
