          Great movie.

Frank Langella is excellent as Skeletor.

Man that movie could've been so much more. So much talent in the film. Designs by William Stout, (Return of the Living Dead). Dolph Lundgren & Frank Langella were so obviously the stars but there were lots of good actors in the supporting cast.

Courtney Cox pre-Friends fame but fresh off Misfits of Science.

Robert Duncan McNeill as her boyfriend Kevin went on to play Lieutenant Tom Paris on Star Trek Voyager.

Billy Barty as Gwildor who was in Legend previous to this and would appear in Willow right after. Also was Sigmund the Sea-Monster on TV.

James Tolkan as Detective Lubic was Principal & Marchall James Strickland from the Back To The Future films.

Jon Cypher as Man-at-Arms was Chief Daniels whose Character used to fence w/Capt. Frank Furillo played by Daniel J. Trivanti on Hill Street Blues.

Meg Foster as Evil-Lyn, fresh off John Carpenter's They Live and played Hercules mother in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys & Xena.

Chelsea Field as Teela never quite burst into an A-List actress but has appeared in many TV shows and movies like The Last Boy Scout & Commando.

When I was 5 years old, this movie was the final nail in the coffin for my interest in MOTU. If my memory serves me right, I think it came out right after the craze died.

Today I actually like it for the nostalgia. Blade and Saurod are cool (maybe the best thing about the film). Skeletor is great in it too.

Being older now, I understand better why so many changes were made. Budget restrictions and also the fact that the cartoon backstory just cannot work as a live action film.

                    I totally agree.

More Eternia and less Earth and it would have been better. Still a fun movie.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Dolph Lundgren's acting in this film is so **** poor it's not even funny. The woman who played Teela sucks pretty hard too.

Over at heman.org the biggest topic is always about a new movie.

I just don't see it happening. A movie based on a guy named "He-Man" in 2011? No way. Major changes would have to be made to the story, so much, that it wouldn't even be MOTU (MUCH like this film wasn't).

As much as I love MOTU (one of my favorite lines ever), it was still just a toyline and all the many backstories are terrible and illogical, because like I said, it was just to sell a toyline.
