One critic said, as a negative comment:
"This is the movie for people who like blood, violence and topless women."

    I don't get it...
    Is this negative comment???
    .
    .
    .
"When things are at their darkest, it's a brave man that can kick back and party."

          >It wallows in misanthropy because that's all it knows.

As a fan of 70's action/horror films THIS is a pretty good selling point for me!

          >This is the movie for people who like blood, violence and topless women

That too! "These are a few of my fa-vo-rite things....!"

The fan reviews are where it's at. "not much on the plot or acting end but this 2 hour gore fest and salute to domestic violence is pretty enjoyable "

                I figured as much..
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

I've read some reviews complaining he's not an idealistic hero and he's only concerned about himself. Yeah, that's how the character is--he's not Superman, trying to save kittens from trees in addition to stopping robberies. Conan would be the one committing the robbery. They also picked at one line ("I live, I love, I slay, and am content.") as being untrue to the character. Not according to Robert Howard who wrote that line and created Conan 80 years ago.

He's Conan the Barbarian for crying out loud. This is supposed to be about fantasy, gore, revenge, violence, and topless women...and a man of very few words. The comics that we read in the 70's were. I think I saw my first topless woman reading Conan in "Savage Tales".

I'm going to see and enjoy it for what it is. Conan the freaking Barbarian!!!!!

Did these so-call reviewers even see the original? Do they think that was less violent? Maybe they forgot the part where James Earl Jones gets his head chopped off.

ive always thought conan was nastier than wolverine, heheh. Seriously, everyone whose familiar with conan knows what to expect but does it stay true to Howards original vision? i'll like it if it does.....
