I think androids is Dick's least entertaining book have you read A SCanner Darlky or 3 Stygmata of Palmer Eldridge?

    One book!?!?!?!?!

2010 - Odessey Two. Some differences from the film, ( good ones tho). I have re-read this several times. I enjoy re-reading it for some reason.

Since the "pick only one" rule is in effect, that rules out my real favorite sci-fi book(s), which would be the Timothy Zahn Thrawn trilogy.

If I only get one, it's gotta be William Gibson's, Count Zero.

I almost said "I Am Legend" but I thought it might be considered horror. As soon as I found out (last year...I know, I'm slow) that "The Omega Man" was based on it, I read the book. As soon as I heard the movie was coming out, I read it again. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I hope to soon. Or else I'll read the book again. One of my top 5 books ever.

My favorite novel is "Monkey Planet" ("Planet of the Apes") by Pierre Boulle... While the book itself really isn't all that hot, what it inspired for the big screen was excellent.

Great book, I read it a couple times, but I didn't consider it a sci-fi, but I guess it maybe could be considered sci-fi. I always figured it was a war or horror novel.

I am not a big sci-fi reader. I like high tech novels and black ops or under ground society novels, i.e. "Angels & Demons" by Dan Brown. It was a much better book than "De Vinci Code".

Now that I think about it, I guess "The Stand" by S. King would be considered sci-fi and that is most likely my favorite book, read it several times. I am a big Stephen King fan. "The Long Walk" is a great book (or actually short story). Stephen King invented reality TV with "The Long Walk" and "Running Man".

That's one of my faves too Joe. One of the first books I purchased through the SFBC when my mom let me join in th early 80s.

I gotta go with Asimov's Foundation series.

I think enders game is still in development. It would make a great series of movies.
