Planet of the Apes TV series (Galen promo spots)

I was reading when the TV series was re-edited into TV movies in the early 80's they were hosted by Roddy in full Galen make-up narrating the plots and even giving a follow-up and conclusion to the series.

It said he mentioned they found their computer and disappeared.

Does anyone know if there's a place to view these promos on the net ?

I tried youtube but couldn't find anything.

I found them about a year ago, although they were audio only, no video. I'll look around and see if I can find them again.

Here they are. The first link has the clips I had found and the second link is the main page for the site

Actually, they are video clips. Macs don't play AVI files to well so all I had was audio when I clicked on them a year ago. Now I can see the video.

Ok, this is tragic. I can hear them, but cannot see them. My mac is super old, so I'm sure it's a software issue, but they sound fantastic! I love the last one! Thanks for posting the link, Scott. Very cool of you.

I don't get any video, just audio, which is awesome in and of itself but I would love to see the footage as well

If you are using a Mac, go to downloads.com and search for MPlayer. Download that and put it in your Applications folder. Download the AVI files from the site to your computer and use MPlayer to view them. That will do the trick.

Try just downloading the videos to your computer and opening them with Windows Media Player. I think something is buggy on the site that is not allowing the video feed. I don't know how much good it would to put these on a DVD. The videos are TINY. They would look pretty bad blown up to TV size.

Update. Make sure you get Mplayer Extended, which is a few down on the list when you search for Mplayer. That is the only viewer that will play them. The regular Mplayer will not. The last video has a neat ending.
