I picked up Season 4, vol. 2, to finish off my VTTBOTS collection. I'm currently watching Season 4. Great fun! My favourite part of the series is how they have water tight doors throughout the Seaview. Why bother when every room in the Seaview is connected by a huge ventilation duct?

I just ordered a box set, season 2.2.
It's been since 1970 that I saw an episode.
They've never shown re-runs here, and the show has never been available on tape or DVD here in Belgium.

If wonder if it'll still be as thrilling as when I was five...

I have only heard about the show until I started to get them on DVD. The Irwin Allen shows were never really syndicated much in my neck of the woods so they built a bit of a mystique with me. I knew they had a reputation of being silly compared to Star Trek but as I found out later, that reputation is somewhat overstated (and it's not as if Trek never got silly).

Anyway, I never saw one Voyage until I got them on DVD and really like the series. In the beginning, it was a more serious and surprisingly good sci-fi/espionage adventure show. It was in the later shows that they broke out the rubber monster suits and the like. I get a kick out of that stuff too.

BTW, how many know that there are reprints of many of the Irwin Allen show Gold Key comic book releases

Been watching the color ones on MeTV for a while now.

            Lately they reverted to Season-1

Man, some of them Season-1's are incredibly boring

I miss aleins, monsters and Sharkey

The first season had more of the spy stuff, but there were some good eps, The Fear Makers, the one where they were stuck on an island w/ dinosaurs, the pilot. Season 2 and beyond concentrated more on the ocean, aliens, weird sea creatures and the like.
