You mean like how I find Bobcat Goldthwait or a variety of comedians who
    use funny voices? Fair enough.

    However you say...

You've watched many of his reviews, and.... my question is.... if
you didn't laugh many, many times during the "talented/keen insight", how could you actually enjoy it enough to actually watch so much of it?

It seems odd that you were THAT interested in the explanations
of WHY the prequels were flaccid/dull to you/others, yet concurrently
you were so adverse to the guy's humor that is there by default
FROM those insights, that you only laughed about 3 times.

Why watch it at all? Film making interest?

Call me sadomasochist but I guess I derive a sort of pleasure from things I find irritating. It's why I've continued reading your posts over the years.....

Now it's MY turn to point out irritating humor. Or irritating fact.

Or whatever the heck it was you just posted.

Even if you like the Star Wars movies, these are brilliant. I can't believe that some of you don't realize he's playing a character.

I love the offbeat stuff. The first couple of times he started going on about the girls he had trapped in his basement had me laughing my *** off. I do recall one where that joke went on a bit too much, but I like the little parts. And the mailing of the pizza rolls. This guy's a genius.

I just happened to check his site for the first time in weeks, and saw it was up! This will easily be the highlight of my holiday weekend.. just watched part 1, and it's great and hilarious as usual.

Love those reviews...the new Trilogy is pure garbage...I hope the master prints are lost forever.

Oh, he's so right--we can be thankful the prequels didn't tarnish Han Solo.

Maybe the live action tv show will do that.

As much as I've been 90 percent singing his praises...
                      I do agree with Meanie's:

funny. Just my take on it.
....in THAT "Han Solo" etc. sense.

Altho' it was a bit funny and still ABOUT the movie, the idea of devoting
too much time to a segment for "stuff that WASN'T in the movie"
seems like too much "nerd seriousness" for my liking.

I thought part one of this review was excellent, part 2 got a little long-winded and I started to glaze over a bit (and I could've done w/out the cat part, which was a bit much even for Plinkett), then part 3 finished up strong. Love how he detailed how "boring" the sequels were shot from a staging aspect. Too many damn couches..

                            BUMP

I see Plinkett recently posted a review of Indy Jones and the Crystal Skull..

I've only watched 10 mins of part one, but it's vintage Plinkett..

In the past whenever they release Star Wars in yet another new format, we gather at a buddy's house to watch a film or two and check out the goodies.

When Star Wars came out on Bluray a couple of months ago, we watched maybe ten minutes of the bluray before plugging a laptop into the HD tv to watch the Plinkett reviews in giant pixely glory instead.
