I find the guy annoying...that voice goes right through you. Seems to me like he's just a disgruntled Star Wars Geek. I had to shut it off after 10 minutes. I know it's intentions are to poke fun at the prequels...but it seems like he's more serious than he is trying to be funny. Just my take on it.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
      The beauty that surrounds them
      Isn't it a pity".

I think his film analysis is spot on, and delivered with sharp humor.

Oh goody. Another whiny review of a movie that came out four years ago.

The prequels get waaaay too much flack. They are entertaining, not high art, just like the original trilogy.

                  Whiny? Digruntled Star Wars geek?

I can't stand whiny nerds. Heaven knows I've commented on them a lot
                  around here.

With THIS Plinkett dude.... it's all out the window...
he is smart and funny most of the time....I only dislike when he digresses
into the oddball non-movie related stuff.

The reviews are more entertaining than the prquels.... and i actually say
that with respect to the prequels.

While I agree with much of his analysis, his "sharp humor" is embarrassingly bad. Makes me cringe.

Yeah the humour is pretty hit or miss but his insight is terrific.

In other words, the best humor COMES FROM his insight on the
movies..... and there's a lot more of THAT than the other random
humor stuff.... so, IMHO, it works wonderfully.

I find the voice he uses in these things really distracting and unfunny. So affected and contrived--just all around irritating.

Also, he tries WAY too hard at an "edgy" or "irreverent" humor style that it just comes across sorta clunky and corny that I wind up just feeling embarrassed for him....I think I've laughed like 3 times while watching his many reviews....

But yeah, the real genius of these reviews is his keen insight as to why we all found these movies so flaccid and dull. He breaks it down in such a clear and convincing manner--a real talent in that regard!
