    Who should direct the Hobbit?

Most want Peter Jackson to step in, but failing that, who would you put in the director's chair?

There is a great deal of speculation around the guy who did District 9.

        zounds!!

well, it sounds as if wingnut wants to make it and do it some justice, he will have to do it himself. Del Toro was a great choice for that. Too bad they couldn't get it down in enough time for him.

How about Dave McKean - that would be fun. Put the trip back into an adventure.

There is no alternative, it would be madness to have anyone other than Peter Jackson make it.

I'm not saying who told me, because I don't know if it's 100% for sure, but think about it; PJ produced D9 and from what I was told by people at weta, completely re-cut the film after Neil was done with it. There are all kinds of stories in professional circles, that PJ was very heavy handed with Blomkamp throughout the entire production, just like the Spielberg/Tobe Hooper thing on "Poltergeist". For PJ to bring him in to direct "The Hobbit", (although I personally think the guy doesn't have nearly enough experience) makes total sense to me.

I'll vote for Sandy to direct it if he'll hire me on to do some stop motion and puppetry.

The studio wanted to bring Sam Riami in when Peter Jackson refused way back at the begining. He's not attached to Spider-Man anymore so...

I think best bet is wait a couple of extra years and let Jackson do it. Fans want him to. He should just do it.

Peter Jackson for me, but can someone explain why he automatically doesnt want to jump in, it only makes sense, for him to keep it in the same style.
