It was really the only way it could have gone for the series,for the fans and for Frodo!!!

I dug the original trilogy, but was kind of looking forward to seeing what kind of vision Del Toro would bring to the table for The Hobbit.

It looks like Jackson is clearing his slate of this other in-development projects to do this.
