Jurassic Park 2 had incredible plot holes you could drive a truck through. The big one for me was Julianne Moore's character who gave several long winded speechs about how the dinosaurs had fierce maternal instincts and then a character asks her "what's that on your jacket?" and she just glibly says "Oh some of the baby dinosaur's blood".
Seriously?
Man...that's my number three pick after the before-mentioned Supes IV and Star Trek V scenes...

man, I don't get all this hatred on Star Wars. Okay Jedi is not the best of the original trilogy but it is still a great movie. I never minded the ewoks. it was symbolic of the fact that even the smallest person can make great change.
.
i also like the prequel trilogy, just not as much and I agree Hayden Cristianson is a terrible actor and the diaglog, particularly in the "romantic" scenes was awful. Even Lucas admits that nowComment

I happen to LOVE the original trilogy...that includes ROTJ...when Luke finally defeats Vader...it gave me goosebumps...and more so when Vader redeems himself...and destroys the Emperor....awesome stuff...

I want say anything negative about the original SW trilogy because that's just blasphemy! The new SW trilogy cannot be compared to the originals. I don't think it was bad acting, but terrible scripts. Qui Gon & Darth Maul died off way too damn early and if it weren't for Obi wan, the movie would have sucked in my opinion.
2001 SO- Had long boring scenes, because it was mean't to be visual, at that time nothing had been done like it. Hal was awsome.Comment

When Vadar spazzes out and throws the emperor off the cliff was one of the best scenes of the franchise.
The only big let down was when Luke took off his mask and James Earl Jones was not there.Comment

The reason I DESPISE Alien 3 is because at the very beginning of the film...we find out that both the little girl (Newt), and the lone Marine (Michael Bien) DIE upon crashing on that prison colony.
WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE MOVE ALIENS THEN???
It makes the previous movie Aliens pointless...I mean...come on...Ripley goes through all that trouble saving the little girl...like in that climatic end...where she challenges and fights the alien queen with that hydraulic human-shaped forklift...and utters the now famous quote..."Get away from her, you ******!"
Alien 3 almost makes Aliens meaningless...it almost ruins that great movie...argh...It's all good!Comment

Y'know many people thought David Prowse should have been the face inside the helmet of Darth Vader in that reveal in ROTJ. Somehow Prowse wound up on the wrong side of Lucas's shee-eet-list and they dispensed with him as soon as his scenes were done.
Hayden Christiansen had a tough job ahead of him. He had to play a good-guy, who we liked, that falls into decline and becomes a villain. That I think is tougher than what Mark Hamil had to do which was play a good guy who wanted to get into the game and make things right. To fix the sins of the father. Maybe, at the time it was a bit beyond Christiansen's ability to convey this but also the story in AOTC doesn't seem to show he and Obi-Wan really sharing a sense of camaraderie. The fact that they lack chemistry as partners or student/teacher is pretty obvious. We mostly get a guy we don't like. I think it's mostly the fault of the script in that case.
The guy who wrote Flash Gordon, Lorenzo Semple Jr., has admitted on the DVD that the film was shot off the first draft of his script and he wanted to do another re-write before they filmed it. De Laurentis wouldn't hear of it and rushed it into production. We could have got a much better film than what was released. On the whole it is a good film, a very faithful realization of the comic strip, but it is too campy. Camp is not clever-it is crap. Batman in the 60's was High-Camp. It was dead by 1969. Leave it in the grave. Some dialogue is embarassingly awful. Really great moments are ruined like Dale seeing Flash alive in Vultan's city. Prince Barin's conversion to Flash's friend is over-simplified. The notion that Dale is going to turn acrobatic cartwheels and retrieve her gun and shoot guards effortlessly while escaping breaks all boundaries of believability. The film could have used 2 more re-writes. If it was thought out a little better it could use maybe 20 minutes more added to its story.Comment

was delusional. As far as I know Lucas only wanted Prowse for his
physical stature...and that's it.
Where Prowse and these "many people" got the idea that a body filling
a suit should lay claim to the whole character is beyond me.
With that mindset, then I guess C-3PO should have bled when his arm was
blown off, cause Anthony Daniel's arm laid claim to that bit."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

What you're saying sounds like Prowse himself, and I always thought Prowse was delusional. As far as I know Lucas only wanted Prowse for his physical stature...and that's it.
