                    Sweet Mother of Christmas!........Im there!!!.I remember seeing the first (and BEST)Alien film at the El Capitan in Hollywood with my brother and best friend.Anson Williams from Happy Days was in line behind us and sat three seats down from where we were.Nice guy he was,got his autograph.Oh anyways,well I have only this to say:Ridley is god!

                      Not that a prequel makes any sense in this case since Alien was the first time anyone ever detected these creatures. A concept reinforced by 2nd movie.

                          Meh - One of the things I loved about "Alien" was that they never touched further on that skeleton dude - it opened the universe up and left me with something to wonder about.

                            Well said. Not to compare apples and oranges, but it's sort of like Heath Ledger's Joker; not knowing his origin or how he got his scars makes him more mysterious and dangerous.

                            Ditto for Boba Fett, who was so much cooler before the prequels.

                            A mystery can live in your mind and excite your imagination, the explanation just kills it.
