Scott: It's set in 2085, about 30 years before Sigourney [Weaver's character Ellen Ripley]. It's fundamentally about going out to find out 'Who the hell was that Space Jockey?' The guy who was sitting in the chair in the alien vehicle — there was a giant fellow sitting in a seat on what looked to be either a piece of technology or an astronomer's chair.

I'm kinda on the fence about this. On one hand, prequel=attempt to grab lost glory. On the other hand, the space jockey was neat and it'd be cool to find out what the deal was.

This will finally answer a question I always had...who/what the hell was that guy...I always wondered if it was supposed to be the predator(remember the end of the first alien vs predator movie)and the wreck was their ship?...even though that concept wasn't in place at the time of "alien"
