Plus, if you look thru the customs section, a few members made their own Mad Max figures, which were pretty cool... I'd guess pictures of them still exist on here...

i am sure there are a lot more out there that would have been cool

were there figures from Princess Bride?

Were ther ACTION figures from spinal tap?
the 80's Flash gordons were based on the cartoon of the time. but i ssuepct when King licesnsed those it excluded the possibility of movie figs

Alot of the the replies here would have been peg warming flops as a general release toy for the same reason that many listed in the toys that shouldn't have been made are listed - the films are R rated and would not support a toy buying audience who wouldn't know the story.

Highalnder great film but a toy is for a child what parent is going to allow their kid to get the toy with the head chop off action? and imagine hoe clunky they'd have been

Road warrior was a grerat action film but again the audience is an older one and in 82 older kids weren't playing with action figures

last starfighter is a good choice the film was aimed at a younger audience and it lent itself to action figure play. sadly it was a film that got it's legs in cable (same reason Atari axed the game for the film but I was lucky enough to play a hacked copy my sister's boyfriend had it was cool)

I always thought it was bad marketing that there weren't Bond film action figure tie ins (excluding the 12" moon raker doll and the 90's UK action man bond stuff) the property is perfect for it. Huge marketing, devout following, hate-able villains, explosions, gadgets, and vehicles that do stuff

Star trek 2 - the back lash of TMP made the orignal crew ST film best suited for action figres the one that didn't get them till the playmates line 20 years later in the 90's.

back to the future was a perfect toy tie in line for dis cast and 3" should have been done

              I declare this the winner.

It is criminal that Sybil Danning doesn't have her own action figure.

"The Dark Crystal" needs a fully realized toy line. The Chamberlain by NECA was nice and so were the Sideshow Jen and Kira, but now we need either a 3 3/4" or 6" line thats fully articulated! Monsters and playsets would be great too! I definately second a "Battle Beyond the Stars" line that was a cool and underated movie! A nice figure line for the original "V" miniseries and series from the 80's would also be nice!

R movies make the best Action Figures! just because a movie is rated R doesnt mean kids arent watching them. should they? No, but they do.

plus a movie that was rated R back in the day is the PG of today.

I dont think Austin Powers was rated R and it got figures that said "do i make you H@rny?" LOL

Back in the day, me and my buddy both seen Westworld new in the theatre.

When we got home first thing we did was use our Marx Johnny West figures to play Westworld.

Would have been neat having REAL figures from the movie -- especially Yul Brenner

wish they had! then i'd have a head to make a Adam quark custom
Im toy with the idea of a custom Brenner from west world out of an extra mattel lex luthor.

This head is pretty good, but you'd have to shrink it down to 8" scale

I probably stand completely alone on this one, but I'd love Lexx action figures.

The biggest marketing blunder of them all...NO MUPPET MOVIE FIGURES!!! that blew my mind for years, and we here in the states would have KILLED for Battle of the Planets figs! as for Sci Fi? KRULL needed figures badly. though by today's standards, the movie is campy and poorly done, the figures would have ruled!

Krull. I'm really surprised that didn't get a toy line.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
