    The Talons of Weng-Chiang

IMO, it's almost a perfect season ... meaning it basically has no stinkers.

BTW, wish they would release The Face of Evil already.

Totally AGREED, it was one of Baker's strongest seasons..

And 'Face of Evil' was always my favorite as well.

One thing I didn't like about The Face of Evil was it had so much potential to be GREAT instead of just good.

If I wrote that story I would have shown why the Seveteem are so scared of The Doctor ... meaning have the computer (in Tom Bakers image) do a lot more nasty evil things before Tom even arrives.

It would make the audience think The Doctor has gone crazy

As it stands looking at it from the viewers perspective, the computer is a little nutty but it's not really "evil" or even scary.

But if it was exposed earlier you's lose the POTA moment when we see the Dr's face in the mountain, also the less is more approach of invisible creatures kept the suspense and prevented jokes about failed effects (like the antimatter monsters in Planet of evil)

I find Mandragora and Hand of Fear a bit padded out story wise but it's definitely a solid season with no clunkers.
