I believe his full character name was Richard Stabone. Or at least that's what I remember him telling me. He had a lot of "Growing Pains" stories, particularly about Kirk Cameron, who apparently before he became a hardcore Christian, was quite the party animal, even at that young, tender age... I think Tracy Gold had some problems too, after the show. Child stardom must be a trip. Still haven't heard word either way from the Koenig's or his agent/manager. Still hopeful he pops up safe and sound.

Sad news indeed. Here's hoping some good news develops. I actually enjoyed Growing Pains during my middle school years and always got a kick out of Koenig's character on the show.

Star Trek's Walter Koenig Appeals to Today Show Viewers for Help Finding Son Andrew - E! Online

It's tough to see Walter Koenig so broken up and worried for his son. I hope Andrew turns up okay.

            D'oh!!!
You're right it was his dads name that was sylvester my bad.
            His name was Richard.

Yeah, Walter's really hurting, sad to see him like that.

Strange. Out of the blue I decided to watch Sandy's Dead End again last night before going to bed since I haven't seen it in a couple of years. After watching it I wanted to know who played the Joker so I go on IMDB and look up Andrew and realize who he is and who is dad is. Then I read the headline news on his profile about him missing. I go on here immediately see a thread about it. Harsh. I hope he turns up. Who knows, he might be up here in Seattle. Says he went to Vancouver or Vancouver Island. Regardless, strange things do happen in this city.

                  From CNN:

-- "Growing Pains" actor Andrew Koenig, missing since Valentine's Day, was found dead in Vancouver, Canada, a source says.

It sounds like it was, but the story didn't say. It did say his body was found in a park.

                        Ohhhh, man! The poor thing!

That is so awful! Poor Walter and the rest of the family must be going out of their minds!

                        41 years old?

                        Keep us posted on details.

Tragic end.....given his history though it seemed to be the most likely outcome from what reports were saying....

I think we were all afraid this would happen, but it's just horrible either way.
