I would like to see this again is it worth the cash investment? Im not a die hard fan but grew up with the show and like it. the complete set 48 episodes is about
$100 and all 8 individual sets are about $10 to $20 each.any thoughts?

I like the show but always felt raped paying that amount for 2 seasons (which I did).

If I could do it over again, I would have bought bootleg rips of those DVD's

maybe I should just start with the first 6 episodes that includes Breakaway pilot an go from thier?

Problem with that, if you're like me you might think some of the first episodes are rather boring and it might turn you off to getting others.

I think your best bet is to skip around and get ones with episodes you remember liking.

I do remember the second season episodes a bit more I think thats a great idea on skipping around Mike

Like others mentioned here.., I'd just buy a few sets at a time from Amazon, then sell them again when you're done. It's a small investment that way..

I had it up until 3 months ago.To be honest I loved them as a kid as an adult however they bored the ever loving crap out of me.Put me to sleep bored.There is no way on this earth I would pay $100. I'm not sure I would pay $35.Keep looking you may get it cheaper yet.

okay I went amazon and bought Box Set 8- 2 disc set Brand New with the last 6 episodes I think the Dorcons episode is the last one produced and its included .I paid $6.95 thats with shipping I dont think I did that bad will start backwards

The thing about Space 1999, like Star Trek they really don't continue into the following stories so watching them backwards would be fine.

When you get to Dragon's Domain, make a special night of it because it's the scariest episode of the entire series

I just got set 8 6 episodes today Dragons Domian is not in it
