I can't believe they killed off Widmore the way they did. I think he and Richard diserved more than boom dead. That is why I am disappointed. I invested 4 season in the mysteries around those 2 characters.
Why did Widmore want the island so much? he had wealth and power in the outside world, so what was his motivation? revenge on Ben?Comment

The deaths were rather sudden, yes. I hope we'll see Richard again, I thought he deserved better? It seems like they built up Widmore and his crew so much, and then dispatched them so suddenly, I'm not sure I get what the point was? Was Widmore "Wallace", #108 from the Lighthouse, who Jacob wanted Hurley to summon??
Ben got his revenge, I hope he's conning the Monster in the Finale, I hope he's not totally turned to the dark side.
I loved the campfire sit-down with Jacob. I think we all knew Jack would be the final candidate, I hope he doesn't have to do the job for eternity. I don't think he will, the producers said there wouldn't be room after the finale for more adventures, that it will be the end. This profile is no longer active.Comment

Richard was touched by Jacob, so I'm not sure if MIB can kill him directly...it's against the rules.
Zoe had a red shirt on from day oneYou just didn't see it. As for Widmore and Ben, I'm still not sure what has been going on between those two and who exactly Widmore was working for....Ben seems to have been working for MIB all along apparently, the Jacob he thought he was following orders from in the cabin was actually MIB, no? But then again, didn't Ben get some of his orders from "Jacob" through Richard? If so, Richard should have known the real Jacob was residing in the base of the statue and not in the cabin...after all, he took MIB/Locke and Ben there himself. This is one of those questions that I would really like answered but with so little time and Widmore dead and Richard dead or dispatched, I'm not sure we'll get the answers.

And how WAS Ben able to kill Widmore anyway? Wasn't that one of the "rules", that they couldn't kill each other?Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Anyone else think that Jack might be a fake-out of some sort? He feels it's his "destiny", and has been fighting it until now, but remember that MIB was being groomed to be the Guardian and it ended up being Jacob.
Might fit in with Sawyer's redemptive arc better since he was forced to step in to lead when Jack got off the Island. Jack's always been the boyscout and the most obvious choice, but who would have expected Sawyer based on that first season of looking out only for himself? Plus, him being the "sheriff" amongst Dharma and a cop in "sideways".Comment

For some reason, I just keep coming back to Hurley ending up being to ultimate super hero of the show.
They have just built his character to the point that he seems to be the one and only one without some deep dark past..."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

Widmore said you can't kill me.Comment

I wonder if it has something to do with Widmore being in Ben's house? Like he couldn't go to W's house and kill him, but since he asked permission to come into Ben's house then he's fair game. Like vampires. This profile is no longer active.Comment

Or it could have to do with Charles "changing" the rules when Keamy killed Alex...since that seemed to be a violation of the rules, maybe these rules no longer apply to Ben or Charles?Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment
