        Mike,

I thought it was great and my girlfriend who is NOT a trekkie did enjoy it other than the Scottie not having the accent and being played by Simon Pegg. Of course my girlfriend is part Scottish and loves the accent from the TV series.

I liked John Cho as an actor and did well as Sulu.

Best Trek movie ever. The perfect reboot. And I am a "purist", my favorite trek is the original show. So don't tell me all "purists" hate the new movie.

It was the best movie since Undiscovered Country, but in no way is it better than any movie with the Classic cast

I know we discussed this before, when Mike actually watched the movie....but there is no way Trek 5 is better than the reboot.

I think so. We got to see Kirk and McCoy and spock in some friendship moments.

The new Star Trek is a dark and sleek fast over done serious and "sexy".

Its like a big mac. Everybody will eat them.Generic slop for the masses.
( BUT I hated the Dawn of the Dead remake till I watched it again now it might be my favorite Zombie flick)

I need to watch it again. I dont want to be THAT closed mined. My Ex refused to watch Enterprise.

There were a few good things. The puppy ( underused character) Whats his name the Andorian I love almost as much as Bruce Cambell, The Mirror Mirror episode was awesome except for the darn CGI Gorn with a tail !!! Seeing Troi and Riker one last time.

By the way Old Spock mentions what year he has come from in the film I didnt catch it. How long after Nemisis was he coming from?
