Which Classic Doctor Who DVD should I buy ???

The only Who DVD I own was given to me: "Robots of Death." It's one of my favorites, but I'd really like a copy of "City of Death," too, which has a lot of great bonus features, including outtakes of Glover and Baker together. Glover was a real professional.

I only know this because I manage a Blockbuster store in a small town, and I use a large part of my "manager account" to buy Dr. Who on DVD for our store from our distributor. We now offer most of what is available on DVD from all the incarnations of the Doctor, except for #8, Paul McGann... though I favor Tom Baker, my favorite.

Not many people rent them, but I enjoy watching them on slow workdays.

Yours must be the only BLockbuster on earth with classic Dr who episodes. Mcgann's movie sadly may never be released for US canada distribution due to rights issues between fox and wb

LOL... yeah, I know it's cheating. One of the few perks of my job, though!

It's interesting, the customers who comment on Dr. Who when I have it playing. Mostly, it's guys my age (40ish), but there are a surprising (to me) number of ladies (of the same age), and are about equal numbers white and black.

Do you show the Tennant stuff? With a little luck,maybe the kids that see that will go "hey,it the guy from Harry Potter" and want to watch.

I saw a Shada Videotape for sale not long ago. Has it been released on DVD?

SHada would seem an excellent choice !

I think Shada is only popular because it never got made.

The story itself doesn't seem very good, imo

The VHS of Shada is all the existing footage tied together with narration by Tom baker (In character but not costume as the 4th Doctor shot in the 90's) almost all of episodes 1 and 2 were shot but after that it's mostly narration and stills.
You are probably better served to watch the flash animation Paul Mcgann version on BBC's website unless the tape is really cheap
