    Doctor Who Waters of Mars

for those who didn't know the next special will air on bbc1 on Nov 15. 2009. For yank like me bbc america has announced they will air it on on Dec 19, 2009 at 9pm
It's due for a UK dvd rel Jan 2010 (no date announced for the US rel but I suspect Mar 2010 based on the average dvd release lag for WHO dvd's btwen UK and US)

Can't wait for this one, looks good and creepy. Space Channel in Canada is also airing it December 19, 2009.

It'll be airing at my house November 16.

I still don't understand how the BBC is spacing these specials ...

I thought by Christmas 2009 we were going to see Tennant regeneration on the Christmas special.

Isn't there at least 2 more specials AFTER Waters of Mars ?

the last 2 specials are supposed to air over 2 weeks christmas and new years theme (carefull BBC the last new years regeneration turned into the tv movie).

the only question is if the regeneration will be at the end of the new years special or if it waits or the March Premier of the new season series but we may not see the Christmas story till January and the new years one till Easter

What a week that will be. You get this on BBC America on the 19th,we get the Green Arrow figure on the 16th. December is turning out to be a pretty cool month this year.

Trailer looks like it's Who vs Dawn of the Dead.
Those pesky zombies! And they're Aqua-zombies, too.

And the two-parter is The End of Time.
Just saw Tennant on Graham Norton. Didn't give much away.

Does anyone here think The Next Doctor and all of the Tennant "specials" will eventually be released on DVD in one single package ? ... perhaps under a Season-5 title ?

It's already listed on the amazon UK website as a box set
Doctor Who - The Complete Specials [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: DVD

and if it follows priof releases there will be a confidential disc with new bonus materials not given to the poor slobs who buy each individual volume as they come out

there will also be a Winter specials 09 set which may include the confidential stuff for the ones who bought next Doctor and Planet of the dead
Doctor Who - Winter Specials 2009 [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: DVD

BBC is really crappy when they double dip (see also the Spcail collectors ed of Key to time compared to the ealier 2002 us release and 2007 uk limited rel, or remembrance of the Daleks) with new bonus stuff. I don't buy into it to buy a reissue for now bonus stuff but I am sure alot of WHO fans do

Oh wow, I didn't even notice that, John

$50.00 for basically 5 hours of show (not including special features) seems kind of pricy

The BBC really loves raping Doctor Who fans

Oh well, that's why Netflix was invented

Looking forward to this Dr Who special,it look's better than the previous one's broadcasted.Sadly i may not get to watch it on the 15th as my daughter seem's scared of the creatures on the show. Will have to rely on good old catch up TV and watch it on the monday.

Agree that the dvd's are a bit pricy but i have seen other boxed set's go down in price after a while, after general release,so these may be the same.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing for quite a while. I've been very tempted to buy the individual episodes but now that I know that there's a box set I'll just hold off. Unfortunately, that means that I'll have wait to see Waters of Mars which I'm really looking forward to.

Thanks for the heads up jds1911a1.
