Captain America - The Movie

These movie folks are like transformers these days. Damon may be a little chubby, but if they hired him they would send the guy to "boot camp" and have him looking a little more Star Spangled Heroey if they wanted....Plus the suit will no doubt be another "false physique" special like they use for everybody else these days.

As for casting:

There was a rumor(s) floating around that Jon Cena (the wrassler)was either asked to test for the part, or was trying to get the producers to consider him for the part. Most likely the latter. The Wil Smith rumors started about the same time, and when Stan Lee came out in support of Smith, the Cena thing died quickly.

As with most hero flicks, I think they would be better of with an unknown, but the trend is certainly against that these days.

If it must be a name, Damon could do it, but he's a bit too old to be a young Cap starting out.

I only want to see Dwayne if at some point, "Can you smell what the Cap is cookin?" is in the script. Daniel Craig is the skinny wimp in the before pictures in those 70s comic book adds for gaining big muscles fast. I like him, but he's too scrawny, and kind of old.

But I don't want him as Cap America because he is NOT American.

Until the Brits let us have an American actor play James Bond...no...they can't have Captain America.

Cap is a super soldier, so whoever plays him needs to be a he-man specimen. Even though I will always see him as the Russian who fought Rocky (and too bad he can't act), in his prime - Dolph Lungren would have been perfect.

As much as I like Gerard Butler...I don't see him working as Cap. He has Chipmonk Cheeks.

Josh duhamel is the guy from Transformers.....he is not muscular though so I don't see him working.

Craig is cut, but he's wirey. Cap needs to be pretty thick.
