I am not sure about any well known , but I'd rather see an Unkown cast.

Me too, Christopher Reeve was an unknown and was great as Superman and as Clark.

For budgetary reasons, they are going to have to cast some unknowns in the Avengers.

Captain America is and should be a REAL American...no ifs and buts about it...period.

Hugh Jackman played Wolverine, Eric Bana played Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Anna Paquin (ok Kiwi, almost the same thing) played Rogue.

As much as I hate to say it...John Cena has more of that Captain America look than Randy Orton.

Randy Orton would be perfect as someone like the Punisher...he would rule.

Until the Brits let us have an American actor play James Bond...no...they can't have Captain America.

Don't be fooled by the pic - he has VanDamme's disease. He's closer to Bruce Lee than Bruce Wayne. He looks older than your pic indicates too. And last but not least, he's the same height as Matt Damon - somewhere between 5'9" and 5'10" depending on which link you click.



I want somebody at least 6'2" who's built like a tight end.

Again...and I don't know how many times I have to say this...I do NOT want Daniel Craig as Captain America. BTW...he is 5' 11".

Besides...I don't think they should make Cap America overly buff...he would be ridiculed by audiences...I'm almost sure of that.

That looks real good, I agree not a huge dude, but a little bigger than that pic.

While that outfit may be in line with a WWII look I've always hated that look. It's just not Captain America to me. I like the original outfit and it's been his trademark for decades. Sure he shouldn't be overly buff because he has to be agile plus he's a master of all fighting styles but then again he is the super soldier so maybe somewhere in between.

Yeah, I want the winged mask, traditional costumed look too. As for how "buff" the guy is, I always preferred the way Kirby drew him...tough and stealy more than overly muscle bound.
