Superman if I was choosing a superhero....otherwise Han Solo....he gets the ladies, has his own fast ship, no one tells him what to do and he's just so damn cool. Plus he has a wookie bodyguard

As The Bat stated above Kirk IS awesome and for all the right reasons, but I'd have a hard time choosing between Kirk or Buck Rogers from the '70's/'80's TV show. He was pretty Kirk-eque as defined here by The Bat. Kind of a Kirk-knock-off now that I think of it. Most of Buck's ladies were better looking than Kirk's though, so now I'm kinda learning toward Buck I guess.

I'd probably want to be a Jedi Master called Mego-Wan. I wouldn't want to be Luke or Vader or any other character. I'd want to be me with all the abilities of a Jedi Master. If I have to choose an existing character, then I choose The Time Traveler from HG Wells' Time Machine novel. Then I could explore history and the future. I'd take some weapons with me though in case I run into Morlocks. Unless they're the Monsters Of Legend kind in which case I'd buy them.
