I think Barrowman pays the producers whenever he can expose himself.....

To be honest, I think RTD ended season 3 with the message: "I'm leaving, and I'm ending the show as well."
That, for me, is the sad part.
The up side: some (small) remarks aside, season 3 was fantastic. Gripping. No holds barred. Pretty gruesome and brutal.
It was some very gutsy writing, I tell you.
If you think the end of season 2 was a punch to the gut, this season is the fist in the face..

Thanks to a good buddy who recorded them for me from BBC America, i'm up to Day-4.
Meaning, i've seen Day 1-3 so far.
Not bad, I don't think this story deserves to be it's own season.
BTW, am I the only person who thinks the British Ambassador guy Frobisher looks like House ?Last edited by Mikey; Aug 4, '09, 2:55 PM.Comment

I thought the series was pretty good, it ended openly enough for a restart at some point (which I have read the BBC wants to do, ratings being very good for this run). A Series 4 will probably be done in one week as well- not so new a deal, week-long mini-series"events" like Roots & Rich Man Poor Man used to be fairly common on TV, back in the day when people had an attention span longer than 8 minutes...now with DVR & DVD you can watch it all in one long Sunday sitting.
That being said, the next series needs to be a bit lighter in tone. Still have a huge threat that only Torchwood can address, yet be more of a rebirth type of thing. If you look at the first Torchwood run, back in the Dalek/Cyberman episodes of Doctor Who, it was all white and business like. The regular series took it underground all dark & creepy. A middleground maybe in line for what's coming...a Victorian mansion or such.
And I cast my vote to see Gwen's butt on screen instead of Jack's as well.Comment
