Definatly liked the early "Monster of the week" episodes better then the later seasons.
Yeah thanks for the pic Sammy!
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
The first three seasons are still great.
After that, it went downhill fast. The storylines were hell to follow.
The appeal of the show was it's uniqueness. Trying to make that last ten seasons was madness.
I agree with you 100%!!!
the last season especially was excruciating to watch. I clearly remember watching the last episode where everything was wrapped up....but I dont remember a bit of it..it was so darn "BLAH" that I zoned out for most of it. About all I do recall is they really didnt wrap anything up of consequence.
I loved the show and watched it religeously. I also liked the last movie. Yes it was not as good as the first film and plodded along at times but I still liked it. And Gillian is still a babe. I am definately going to have to get down to WalMart....between this deal and the Star Trek Animated series price I have a lot of shopping to do
I loved the X-Files but I bailed soon after Doggett came along. I have no idea how the show ended. But I did get from the last movie that Mulder and Scully finally hooked up.
I'm one of the few that didn't feel the last movie sucked, just thought it was a bit slow. I was a fan of the show, but the last two seasons really left a bad taste in my mouth. They really shouldn't have tried to replace the main characters. They should have just let it go. Kind of ruined it for me.
I'll tell you why the last movie sucked...because the only paranormal thing about it was about a child molester who had visions...that was it...lame...lame...lame.
Glad to see there are philes out here. I am a fan of the series and like most people here, I definitely hated it after Duchovny left the show. It lost the subtle humor that I really love and the exchanges between Mulder and Scully were just awesome.
I love monsters of the week especially Home that one episode that was not aired because of how disturbing it was. It's pretty evident too that Carter did not know where the plot with the mytharc is heading early in the show. But still one of the best shows of all time. Just listening to the opening theme makes me shiver.
Loved the show I even liked both of the movies.
I hope they can make a third one.
Last season sucked nutz!!!
Overall though if you make it ten years you are bound to have 20-40 episodes that stink!!!
Most shows barely make 5 seasons anymore.lucky to get three usually.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

Most series today barely stay interesting for three seasons. X Files had at least 75% good and interesting episodes. I liked the second movie as a stand alone episode and not as the film we waited for for ten years. I do hope the third film is about the 2012 invasion and they should show that Mulder and Scully finally found William.
When the show first came out, I had just arrived at my last command in the US Navy. I worked a three man crew with a Dude who looked liked he could play in the NFL and a chick who looked like she could model for underwear adds. Not making this up folks.
My first shift with them was a feeling out to make sure I was conversant in comic books and Sci-Fi. I had to check my pulse to make sure I wasn't dead.
We all wound up being best of friends, meeting up at the comic book store on occasion and watching X-Files together weekly.
If it were a Sitcom, it be me as Leonard, her as Penny (except Penny really liked Comic Books and Star Trek) and Jim Jeffcoat as Sheldon (except Sheldon could have kicked yer butt).

That is so cool. You mean you actually worked on the set?
