I know the last film sucked but I still want to think of the greater days when Mulder and Scully were the coolest people to ever graze the television. Any philes here?
I just noticed yesterday that Wal-Mart has the first two seasons of "The X-Files" on DVD bundled together for $20.00. I'm going to have to bite at that price

At it's best, it was fantastic TV. Best Sci-Fi show since the original Trek.
At it's worst, it was aggravatingly vague. I don't honestly think the creators had any idea where they were going with the endless subplots. It must be something about the letter "X", because that's how the X-Men comic has been since the 70s.
But I loved the first few seasons, esp. the monster-of-the-week episodes. They always put such an interesting twist on things. And Duchovny and Anderson were a great team. Great chemistry.
I saw that bundle at Wallly-world too. I may have to get it!
I was a huge X-Phile, never missed it for the first few years. After that, like E2C said, it went downhill. I got tired of the unresolved plotlines, and even worse, the episodes where they promised a resolution, kinda gave you something, then turned it around in the last scene so you weren't sure if it was real or not.
I certainly preferred those "Monster of the week" episodes. Squeeze probably being one of the best. The one with the Amish Guy that made Scully go all hinky, the "Cops" episode, and the really creepy one with the weird family and the mother under the bed...I don't think that one was ever rerun on Fox was it? After Mulder left, the only good episode was the one with the Brady Bunch- that was pretty cool.
Didn't see the new movie though. I catch an episode once in awhile on TV.
Most definately. I still have a huge Crush on her. She is one sexy lady
I've mentioned this here before I think, but I worked at a comic shop during the show's heyday, and once we got in that poster of Gillian Anderson in her black undies, we could not keep it in stock. We were constantly reordering it. It must have been in every nerd's dorm room on campus.
I'm one of the few that didn't feel the last movie sucked, just thought it was a bit slow. I was a fan of the show, but the last two seasons really left a bad taste in my mouth. They really shouldn't have tried to replace the main characters. They should have just let it go. Kind of ruined it for me.
